Setting Up Slack Integration

Connect Acme with Slack to receive notifications and updates.

Prerequisites

• Slack workspace admin permissions
• Acme admin access
• Professional plan or higher

Installation Steps

Step 1: Start Connection

1. Go to Settings > Integrations
2. Find "Slack" in the list
3. Click "Connect"

Step 2: Authorize in Slack

1. Select your workspace
2. Review permissions
3. Click "Allow"

Step 3: Configure Channels

Choose notification channels:

• #general - Company-wide updates
• #projects - Project notifications
• #alerts - Critical alerts

Available Notifications

Slash Commands

Use these in Slack:

• /acme search [query] - Search tasks
• /acme create - Create new task
• /acme my-tasks - View your tasks
• /acme status [project] - Project status

Troubleshooting

Connection Failed

1. Verify Slack admin permissions
2. Check third-party apps are allowed
3. Try disconnecting and reconnecting

Notifications Not Working

1. Verify channel is selected
2. Check Acme bot is in channel
3. Review notification settings
